How much does it cost?

Can you pay monthly, quarterly or annually? Is there an additional set up or release fee when you come and go. Are there any other additional charges?

jensys do not charge a set up or release fee. We normally ask you to pay for your hosting solution annually in advance although individual pricing plans can be arranged if required.

What about updates?

In addition to the hosting charges, some companies will also charge you a monthly or quarterly 'maintenance' fee, although this does sometimes include for a limited number of minor updates or alterations to your site.

jensys do not normally charge a periodic maintenance fee, you only pay for maintenance when you ask us to maintain the site. If your site needs constant updating we can agree a maintenance contract that could save you money in the long term.

Are there any Data-Transfer (bandwidth) or Hit charges?

Each time someone visits a page on your web site, data is transferred from the server to their browser. Some companies will charge you for the amount of data transferred while others may charge you each time a page is accessed. Some companies will give you a monthly allowance and charge you if you exceed it while others say there is no limit (although they usually reserve the right to impose one if you have a persistently high transfer rate). Be careful when you look at the details - a small 'b' usually means 'bits' i.e 1/8th of a Byte, some companies use a large 'B' but mean 'bits'. Always check and ask if the amount is in 'bits' or 'bytes'

The standard jensys hosting solution includes 3 Giga-bits (about 375MB) of data transfer per month which is usually more than enough. If you exceed this on a regular basis you may incur a small additional fee. We won't charge you for the first time you go over the limit and will agree a mutually acceptable solution if it looks like you have outgrown the plan.

If you do find you have outgrown the plan, don't be upset, be happy. It means that the site we built for you is more effective then even we had hoped.
